Some History
About 3 years ago, I was working for the corporate world, about 60-80 hour workweeks, decided to do my own due diligence and look for a business. First, like most people did my due dilgence on all the network companies out there. Researched the multi level marketing companies that were involved with pushing pills, lotions, potions, vitamins, insurance, travel, vacations, air puriifiers, and of course the latest health and energy drinks that are sweeping the Internet.
Took the plunge and signed up with an air purifier, home business company, with traditional downlines and uplines that I knew absoulutely nothing about. Well, you might have guessed, after 90 days, many hours, and alot of wasted money, it simply did not work for me. Still have some inventory in my garage!
When you find the right business, the one that is right for you and after you do your diligent research, I would expect that a lot of information here, will be helpful in your business.

Time Leverage
It comes down to time, which is important in any business, and how you leverage that time for maximum profit and cash flow. For instance, in a traditional network marketing venue, your have uplines and downlines. Your be calling your friends and relatives, called the "warm market" to try to bring them into the business. You make a small profit on the items you sell, and you will make a little profit on all the others that you bring into the business that are selling your same products too.
Now in a direct sales business venue, its different. You keep 100% of the profits, instead of sharing them with an upline, ie, the people that came into the business before you did. You can be in a profit mode, almost immediately instead of making literally hundreds of callis to people on the phone, and years before you might ever see any significant residue profit.
With the direct sales venue, when a sale is made, all of the available profit from that sale goes to ONE PERSON
Major difference--See the effect.
Take a customer that buys products valued at $1295.00 dollars. You would earn on an average, 6-8% with a MLM company. In this example from that $1295 sale in MLM, you can make about $90.
Take a peek at the same example in a Direct Sales business with a product that offers a higher profit of margin. You make a sale, and your customer buys products valued at $1295. Now only one person receives the profit, and it's not shared with a group of upline members, you keep 100% of the profits.
That means from that $1295.00 direct sale, you would earn $1000.00. BIG DIFFERENCE. When you are doing your research you will find out that informational products offer a huge margin of profit for you, when you market. Not unusual to have a 75% profit margin, often called a reverse profit margin in favor of the seller. YOU
Sales Quotas and Performance Levels
Most companies require the following:
a. Monthly Personal Product Purchasses. Whether you need them or not, you MUST buy poducts each month, typically valued at $100 or more.
b. Sales Quotas. A quota is a required monetary value of products thay you and your team MUST sell each month. There are wide variations and matrix schemes to this business model.
c. Recruting Quotas. Sim-ly means a certain number of people you MUST add o you team every month.
About 97% of the people that join a network marketing company, simply do not make a dime, lose their investment, and quite often get stuck with inventory or products they have no need for. So be careful on the business model you select out there.
One of my main reasons that caused me to switch to a company with a direct sales business model, that was very hard to find...but my doing my due diligent research, came across a company w ith no sales quotas and no uplines or downlines. Thqt is correct NO QUOTAS EVER, in my business once you qualify at a performance level, your qualified for a lifetime, with no further requirements ever!
Downlines and Business Motivation
In MLM your paycheck relies primarily on the sales your downline makes. So you have to be on top of all your team members. Instead of focusing on YOURSELF AND your own business, you're forced to becoma a baby sitter and a cheerleader.
That folks, is not a productive way to grow a successful business enterprise. You will find yourself spending tons of time training and encouraging people on your team, only to have them quit a month later. So not only do you waste valuable hours training people who later leave the business, but you take the time away from your OWN business.
And that is onother reason why I switched to a direct sales business venue. I simply let the company and team training impart the majority of the trianing and encouragement. But more reason, I simply do not rely on my new associates to create my income each month.
No more worries that my income will drop if someone decides to leave the company. I earn $1000 with each new associate and $2000 to guide them through the training. It's a great system which encourages us to help our new associates grow their own successful businesses. Main point being, since we make our money up front first, we don't have to worry if they let their businesses slide or if they decide to quit later.
Warm Market
Ouch, do you know that terrible word "Warm Market". And furthermore, did you know that an MLM company's main marketing focus is YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY?
Often they call it "word of mouth" advertising. But I have another name for it "disgusting".
This kind of marketing will get you is a reputation that your're a product pusher. Energy drinks, health drinks, vitamins, skin care, weight loss, vacations, insurance, air purifiers....potential customers will start to AVOID you.
All customers will see you coming and think you are trying to "sell them". Which of course you are, because your MLM company told you that's how to market the product and business opportunity.
Folks, that is why 97% of home businesses fail.....because no one is taught to target the right market! And your friends and family are NOT a targeted market, they are your friends and family and you want to keep them that way...and they are a ending market.
Again one of the main reasons I switched to a direct sales business venue. Right from the start we are taught how to find targeted prospects, not push our business onto friends and neighbors. With the company that I have now, I only speak to people who are already searching for this kind of business venue or product, so that I LEVERAGE MY TIME RESPONDING TO INQURIES.
RECAP
There are many more issues and problems with network marketing companies, and believe me in this short report I could not cover them all. However, these are the main ones, that turned me off to all multi level marketing companies.
My business has trust and integrity, after all what else is there folks? I used to feel that I was bothering people, no more, I know that I'm truly helping them now. The products that I offer are educational, practical and genuinely needed throughout the Global economy, in people's everyday lives. Absolutely, no need to convince anyone of the benefits of some latest craze of health or energy drinks, or some vitamin supplement.
At a mimimum $1000 or more commission per sale I'm offering my customers a way to get into a high profit and high cash flow home business office very quickly. With NO QUOTA'S, I'm allowing them to live their lives and grow their business according to their own schedule... not mine or the company's.
Finally, with no employees, no inventory to store or purchase, no royaltie fees to pay, or building to lease or rent or buy, this business has been a blessing to me and others, and will be for years to come. Far better than a franchise, with far less start up capital.
So in the end folks, before you decide on your ideal business, do you own diligent research, take your time, do not rush into to any of the multi level marketing companies, without at least considering the direct sales companies, that will provide you with a high profit products, and high cash flow, that will leverage your time the best.
And ask yourself these questions:
A. Do I want to leverage my time by earning hundreds or thousands per sale or do I want to earn pennies on the dollars?
B. Do I want to be able to work at my own pace around my own schedule and my family, or do I want to meet monthly quotas?
C. Do I want to get paid first and immediately, or do I want to spend money on samples and inventory then wait around for a monthly paycheck?
D. Do I want to return inquires from people who have already expressed an interest in my business, or do I want to bug my friends and family?
Again, recommend you do your own research and decide for yourself, what is the best fit for you in a home business office. Been doing this now for over 3 years, and I'll be here for a lifetime, I call it the Ferrari of all the businesses on the Internet, bar none.
